Race Report: CVMA Round 5 – Closing the Gap
Share
CVMA Round 5 was another strong weekend for me and the BPR Racing team. Saturday kicked off with two Open races, where I pushed hard and secured second place in both, right behind my teammate and team owner, Bryce Prince. Every session, every lap, I’m learning and getting closer—chipping away at the gap.
Sunday threw a bit of a curveball my way when I went down in the morning warm-up. But the BPR Racing crew worked their magic, and in no time, my bike was back together and ready to go. Huge thanks to them for the effort—it’s because of them that I was able to line up and fight for more podiums.
In the Open race, I grabbed another second place, but the gap to Bryce is shrinking. Then came the premier race, the Stock 1000 Shootout. This one was a battle. I got out front early and led the race all the way to the final lap, but Bryce made his move and got by me before the checkered flag. We were both running a pace just tenths off the outright track record—proof that the work we’re putting in is paying off.
Overall, I’m really happy with the weekend. Consistent podiums, getting faster every round, and proving we have the speed to run at the front. Next round, we have our eyes set on that lap record. Let’s get it!
